TERRY PHILLIPS PULLS DOUBLE-DUTY AT I-80

Terry Phillips and his #75 team pulled double duty on July 21-22 in the annual 'Silver Dollar Nationals' weekend at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. Behind the wheel of his Super Late Model, Terry placed second in his first heat race on Friday night and seventh in his final prelim of the evening. After grabbing the third transfer spot through his B-Main on Saturday, TP started the $53,000 to win feature event from the outside of the twelfth row. Unfortunately, the Springfield, Missouri star was an early retiree in the 80-lap headliner and wound up thirty-second in the final rundown of the mega-event, which was co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series.

In the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) portion of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals' weekend, Terry was one of the standouts gunning for the $10,000 winner's check. After running fifth in his first heat race and winning his final prelim on Friday, Terry finished tenth in the pole dash. He then started Saturday's 40-lapper from the outside of the fifth row prior to advancing up to eighth by the time the checkered flag fell over the stacked field. PHILLIPS MAKES TREK NORTH TO ABERDEEN...

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made their first-ever visit to Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Tuesday evening, July 18 for the 'Bullet Sportswear Shootout,' which boasted a $10,000 winner's check and was co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Terry Phillips laid down the twelfth quickest lap in Group A during time trials and later placed fifth in his loaded heat race. After grabbing the second transfer spot through the B-Main, TP was involved in an early tangle, but battled back to salvage a thirteenth place performance in the action-packed race. TP ADVANCES INTO CMH DIAMOND NATIONALS

Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) made the short trip to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on Saturday evening, July 15 for the annual running of the 'CMH Diamond Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series co-sanctioned the single-day shootout, which boasted a hefty $12,000 winner's check. Terry Phillips posted the fourteenth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to running seventh in his heat race and third in his B-Main. After starting the 60-lap headliner from the outside of the eleventh row, Terry was unfortunately an early retiree in the race and wound up twenty-fifth in the final finishing order. TERRY PHILLIPS SWEEPS SALINA; FIFTH AT MONETT!
(July 3, 2017)
Terry Phillips, of Springfield, Missouri, swept the annual 'Freedom Classic' at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma on June 30-July 1, which pocketed him a total of $8,000 in the pair of Lucas Oil MLRA Series triumphs! On Friday night, Terry ran fourth in his heat race prior to leading the final three circuits of the 30-lapper on his way to a $3,000 victory over Jesse Stovall, Joe Godsey, Payton Looney, and Rodney Sanders. At Salina on Saturday evening, Terry won his heat race and later led all forty circuits in the headliner en route to a $5,000 win over Payton Looney, Jesse Stovall, Joe Godsey, and Scott Crigler. In Open Wheel Modified action at Salina, TP ran third in both feature events over the weekend.

The holiday weekend then wrapped up on Sunday, July 2 with the MARS DIRTcar Series at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri in the annual running of the 'Tony Roper Memorial.' With heat races scrapped due to impending weather, Terry qualified eleventh quickest to earn the inside of the sixth row for the start of the main event. He then stormed past six competitors during the $3,000 to win affair to close out the weekend with a fifth place showing behind only victor Logan Martin, Mason Oberkramer, Payton Looney, and Will Vaught. PHILLIPS RUNNER-UP IN MODIFIED MASTERS PRELIM!
(June 19, 2017)
Terry Phillips and his #75 TPR team trekked north to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from June 15-18 for the $50,000 to win 'Modified Masters.' On Thursday evening at CLS, the huge weekend kicked off with a preliminary program, which boasted a $3,000 winner's check. Terry won his heat race and later earned an impressive runner-up showing in the 40-lap feature behind only victor Zack VanderBeek!

At Cedar Lake on Friday night, Terry finished second in his first heat race of the evening and fourth in his second and final prelim. TP earned the twelfth most points in doing so, which lined him up starting from the outside of the sixth row in Saturday's 70-lap grand finale. During the course of the $50,000 to win spectacular, which spilled over until Sunday afternoon due to rain showers, the Springfield, Missouri star was caught up in a wreck and soldiered on to finish fourteenth in the final rundown. Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) reached victory lane again on Friday night, June 9 at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma! Terry Phillips ran second in his heat race and later started fourth on the grid in the MARS Dirt Car Series-West feature event. The Springfield, Missouri star then bolted to the lead on the first circuit and led all 30 laps to record the $3,000 triumph over Tony Jackson, Jr., Jon Mitchell, Kyle Beard, and Jacob Magee! In a similar $3,000 to win MARS battle on Saturday evening, June 10 at his hometown Springfield Raceway, TP placed second in his heat race and third in the A-Main behind only victor Jesse Stovall and runner-up Kyle Beard. TERRY PHILLIPS ENTERS SHOW-ME 100 WEEKEND...
(May 29, 2017)
Terry Phillips Racing (TPR) headed to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri from May 25-28 for the 25th edition of the storied 'Show-Me 100,' which was co-sanctioned once again by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Terry Phillips did not have much luck all weekend and unfortunately missed out on the starting grid for the $6,000 to win preliminary features on both Thursday and Friday. Following a rain-out on Saturday night, the 'Show-Me 100' was held in front of a packed house at Wheatland on Sunday evening and a whopping $30,000 winner's check was on the line. Unfortunately, TP ran seventh in his stacked consolation event and fifteenth in the Non-Qualifiers Race, which kept him out of the 100-lap headliner that was eventually won by Bobby Pierce. The #75 team made a last minute decision on Saturday, May 20 to invade Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for a weekly Open Wheel Modified event. The decision paid off in a big way, as Terry Phillips was able to control the last half of the feature distance to reach victory lane. Terry won his heat race from the seventh starting spot and later rolled off from the pole position in the 20-lap main event. At the checkers, TP laid claim to the $600 top prize over Mitch Keeter, Terry Schultz, Jim Moody, and John Allen! PHILLIPS MOVES UP IN MODIFIED SUPER WEEKEND
(May 14, 2017)
Terry Phillips, of Springfield, Missouri, jumped behind the wheel of one of Jordan Grabouski's #30 IMCA Modifieds for the inaugural 'Modified Super Weekend' on May 12-13 at Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa. On Friday night during preliminary action, Terry finished sixth in his first heat race of the evening prior to scoring the victory in his second and final prelim. TP then advanced up to fourth in his B-Main on Saturday, but that was one mere spot away from a transfer position into the $50,000 to win headliner. After sponsors bought Terry a provisional starting spot through a charity auction, he was able to move past sixteen cars during the 50-lap contest en route to a fifteenth place showing. PAIR OF TOP TENS FOR PHILLIPS IN HAWKEYE STATE

Terry Phillips was back on the Lucas Oil MLRA Series trail from May 4-6 in a tripleheader weekend in the Hawkeye State of Iowa. Things kicked off on Thursday night at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa. Terry clicked off the fastest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to winning his heat race in preliminary action. After starting the $3,000 to win main event from the outside of the front row, TP ran towards the front during the 40-lapper before eventually sliding back to sixth to trail only winner Chris Simpson, Tony Jackson, Jr., Jimmy Mars, Chad Simpson, and Billy Moyer at the checkers.

Two more $3,000 to win MLRA programs then greeted the #75 team at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa and Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa. On Friday evening at Davenport, Terry finished eighth in his loaded heat race and fifth in his B-Main before blasting past twelve competitors on the 1/4-mile oval in the 40-lap feature to place ninth in the final finishing order. Terry Phillips and his #75 team took on the cars and stars of the USMTS Series on April 21-22 in $3,000 to win specials at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas and I-35 Speedway in Winston, Missouri. On Friday night at Lakeside, Terry unfortunately got a hole in his radiator during the heat race, won his B-Main, and later climbed past nine competitors during the 30-lap feature en route to salvaging an eighth place effort. At Winston on Saturday evening, Terry won his loaded heat race prior to winding up seventh in the final rundown of the 40-lapper. The Lucas Oil MLRA Series doubleheader kicked off on Friday night with a $2,000 to win shootout. Terry Phillips ran third in heat race action prior to picking off ten competitors during the 25-lapper en route to a sterling runner-up effort behind only victor Will Vaught. On Saturday evening at Wheatland in the $3,000 to win weekend finale, Terry won his heat race, led laps 6-12 of the main event, and was in the seventh finishing position after forty green flag circuits. On Friday night, Terry timed in thirteenth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session prior to placing eighth in his stacked heat race. The Springfield, Missouri ace then wound up sixth in Saturday's consolation event, which unfortunately did not transfer him into the 98-lap feature that was won by Tim McCreadie. Terry Phillips timed in fourth fastest during the qualifying session prior to finishing second in heat race action.
